This separation provides us with the opportunity to be profoundly nourished, contemplate our current identity, consider our future direction, and build the confidence to enhance our personal practice. Immerse yourself in the splendor of Belize on a private island for seven incredible days of yoga, tropical sun, ocean, local cuisine, coconuts and deep rest at Thatch Caye Resort. Led by therapeutic specialist, Allie Geer (BCST, E-RYT 500) this yoga retreat is a deep dive into aligning with the innate wisdom, flow, and bliss from within. You will experience a full range of daily yoga practices including Vinyasa, Yin/Restorative, Meditation, breathwork, yoga therapeutics, myofascial release and yoga Nidra practices tuning you into the frequency of flow.

In your free time throughout each day you can snorkel the incredible coral reef just off the shore, paddleboard or kayak, lounge at the beach, hike around the island, or simply relax in a hammock to the sounds of nature and the Caribbean sea. Additional activities available and arranged upon request. Commit to your practice and cultivate seeds of intention, healing and attunement to joy.

ARRIVING AT THE BELIZE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

Belize International Airport is a small airport that provides excellent signage to help travelers get through customs and transfer to your in-country flight to Dangriga. At the point of entry, a passport and proof of return or onward ticket are required. When booking your international flight, please be aware of your landing time. For commuter flights, we recommend arriving to Belize City no later than 3:45 pm on May 31st, as the last flight to Dangriga departs at 5:00 pm. It’s a short flight to Dangriga which is included in your all-inclusive rate.

As you arrive in Dangriga, one of our guides will be waiting to pick you up to drive you to the dock at the Pelican for the boat pick up. Enjoy the 25 minute, 9 mile boat ride from Dangriga to the island. The boat ride to and from the island is also included with your all-inclusive accommodations.

Departure times will be arranged on island and will vary based on all departing guest flight times that day. We do our best to minimize wait times for local flight departures.

WHERE IS THATCH CAYE RESORT?

In Belize, a “caye” (pronounced key) is an island. There are different spellings, most commonly Caye or Cay. Thatch Caye, a natural island complex that forms a 12 acre marine park in the Cocoplum chain is just 9 miles from Dangriga in south-central Belize and only two miles from the second largest reef in the western world. Thatch Caye Resort is inside the northern boundary of the protected South Water Marine Reserve (Most maps show Cocoplum Caye). Dangriga, is the largest town in the Stann Creek District. It is 55 miles from Belize’s capital, Belmopan and 105 miles from Belize City.

In consideration of my participation in Find Your Flow Retreat by Allie Geer Yoga LLC and associated events and activities (collectively, “Retreats,”) I agree as follows: 1. Definitions. “Activities” include all activities at Find Your Flow retreat and may include, without limitation, yoga, meditation, breathwork, journaling,snorkeling, hiking, swimming in pools or ocean, transportation in Released (defined below) or other vehicles, training, classes, instruction, traveling to and from a Find Your Flow Retreat and all other activities associated with one or more Retreats. “Risks” shall include, without limitation, vehicular traffic, road and trail conditions, health and environmental conditions (including without limitation disease, infection and animals), weather, equipment failure, driver error, rider error, participant error, food provided, facilities, actions of other people, and the actions, negligence and carelessness of the Released, as defined below. “Released” shall include Allie Geer Flow, Allie Geer Yoga LLC, it’s officers, directors, employees, contractors and agents, volunteers, the owners or operators of any Retreat facilities or equipment provided and the sponsors of Allie Geer or the “Find Your Flow” retreats. 2. Certification, Acknowledgements and Assumption of Risk. I hereby certify that I am physically fit, am in sufficient health for participation in the Find Your Flow Retreat and have not been advised otherwise by a qualified medical person. This includes having taken precaution to avoid coming in contact with a Covid-19 infected person, i.e., wearing a mask when in public if asked to do so, and maintaining CDC recommended social distance. I hereby assume all risks of participation in the Activities and the Retreat, including without limitation all Risks, whether such risks are caused (a) by the negligence or carelessness of, or (b) from dangerous or defective equipment or property owned or provided in any way by the Released. I acknowledge that the Retreat is a test of my physical and mental limits and carries with it the potential for serious injury, property loss and even death. 3. Waiver, Release and Agreement Not to Sue. I, and on behalf of my executors, administrators, heirs, successors and assigns, hereby fully release, waive any claims I or they may have against, discharge and agree not to sue the Released or each of them from any and all liability to me or my executor, administrator, heirs, successors and assigns for any and all damage, injury or death of myself or the participant while at, participating in, while in route to or from a Retreat or while participating in the Retreat or any Activities, whether caused by negligence or carelessness of the Released or otherwise. 4. Indemnification and Hold Harmless. I, both on my own behalf and as the parent or legal guardian of a participant of a Retreat, hereby agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Released and each of them from any loss, liability or damage, including reasonable attorney’s fees incurred in any suit, demand or legal action arising out of any alleged injury, damage, Covid-19 or death resulting from engaging in any Activities or participation in any Retreat, whether such injury damage, death is alleged to or did result from the negligence or carelessness of any person. 5. Medical Care. Although I acknowledge that there is no obligation of any person to provide any participant with medical care during, prior to or after a Retreat, in the event medical treatment is provided to me or my child or legal guardian, I hereby consent to such care. Paragraphs 2 through 4 of this waiver and release shall apply to such medical care and such medical care shall be deemed to be an Activity. 6. Personal Property. I acknowledge and agree that I am responsible for my equipment and all personal property during the Retreat and that the Released are not responsible in any way for such property whether it is lost, stolen or damaged. 7. Disasters. I acknowledge that events and occurrences can occur beyond the control of Find Your Flow Retreat and Allie Geer Yoga LLC or the Released that may impact a Retreat and or me. These events and occurrences include, without limitation, fire, wind, hail, snow, hurricanes, tornados, severe rain, flood, smoke, earthquakes, landslides, acts of war, acts of governments, terrorist acts, and loss of electricity and or other utilities (collectively, “Disasters.”) What constitutes a Disaster shall be determined by Allie Geer in its sole discretion. I further acknowledge and agree that Allie Geer LLC and the Released shall not be responsible for any injury, loss, damage or expense associated with a Disaster. 8. Words and Images. I understand that during a Retreat I may be photographed, videotaped and/or my words may be recorded, and I authorize and allow Allie Geer Flow and Allie Geer Yoga LLC and its sponsors to use such images, words and likenesses for marketing, on websites, in brochures or other writings and any other legitimate purpose. 9. Interpretation and Governing Law. This document shall be construed broadly to provide a release and waiver to the maximum extent permitted under Colorado law. If any portion of this document shall be held as invalid it is agreed that the balance shall continue to be in full force and effect. This document shall be governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, expect with respect to its provisions on choice of law and venue for any legal action shall be in the state or federal courts of Colorado as applicable. 10. Payment Processing Pricing is per person and varies on a variety of cost factors, with peak travel times being the most expensive. You can always find pricing on the website. Pricing includes retreat costs only; it does not include airfare or travel to and from the retreat (unless noted otherwise). While every effort is made to keep to all published itineraries, we reserve the right to make changes for your convenience. In some cases, weather conditions or “acts of god” (e.g., pandemic) can necessitate an alteration in the event itinerary, such as the dates of the retreat, and this does not constitute any reason for refund. 11. Deposit & Payment Terms. In order to reserve your spot, there will be a non-refundable agreed upon deposit per person. Depending on your booking date and the agreement with the location, there will be a pre-determined balance due date which can be made in one payment or multiple payments depending on time of booking and the date of the event.

By completing registration you accept the terms below: ☑️ By registering you accept financial responsibility should any unforeseen personal circumstances interrupt you from attending this in-person retreat. ☑️ Travel Insurance is highly encouraged to secure your investment. Due to the stringent booking arrangements required by our outside venues, NO REFUNDS will be given within 60 days of the event unless the event is postponed due to circumstances beyond our control, or you must unregister due to COVID-19 related issues or illness. Cancel 90 days prior to event – 50% Refund Cancel 60 days prior to event – No Refund or Transfer Late arrival, no-show or early departure – No Refund $500 Deposit is Non-Refundable There are no exceptions to our cancellation policy for ANY reason, including weather, health changes, personal emergencies or otherwise. There is no refund for arriving late or leaving a trip early. Allie Geer is not responsible for any expenses or damages incurred because of a retreat cancellation including preparation costs, airline tickets, travel documents or other expenses. Allie Geer reserves the right to cancel any retreat prior to departure if there are too few people booked, in which case you will be given a full refund of all payments made to Allie Geer. You will not be entitled to claim any additional amounts or seek any compensation for any injury, loss, expenses, or damages (either direct or consequential) or for any loss of time or inconvenience which may result from such cancellation (including but not limited to visa, passport and vaccination charges, or departure, gear purchases, airport and airline taxes).

Traveling to Belize

Belize is on Central Standard Time. However, we do not have daylight savings. That means we have no time change in the summer months. During those months we are on Mountain Standard Time.
A valid passport is all that is required for citizens of the Australia, Britain, Canada, Hong Kong, Mexico, New Zealand, Norway, United States, Venezuela, and CARICOM member states, as well as nationals of European Community. Belize requires citizens from certain other countries to have an entry visa.
The Belize dollar has a locked exchange rate of two Belize dollars to one US. dollar.
No, US. dollars are accepted everywhere in Belize (US coins excluded). The majority of tourism facilities including hotels, restaurants and shops in populated areas accept credit cards. Street vendors and smaller establishments in remote areas may accept only cash. ATMs are easily found in most town and city centers.

Item We have no TVs, phones or Wi-Fi in the rooms. We want you to get away from it all and relax as much as possible! If you really need to use the phone just ask a manager and you are more than welcome to use the office phone. There is a TV located in the CoCo lounge and if you have a special programming request just ask the bartender and we will gladly tune you in! Wi-Fi is also only available in the CoCo lounge if you need to get connected to the outside world!description
Yes. Our power is 110V with the same plug style as North America. We have generators but prefer to run the Caye from our deep cycle batteries, which store energy captured by solar panels and wind generators. You can help us be power conscious by leaving your high demand appliances, such as hair dryers, at home.
This is a question many traveling to Mexico and Central America frequently ask. Our island is Eco-friendly and self-sustainable. All of our shower and sink water is rain water and desalination collection. It is perfectly safe to brush your teeth, shower and wash your hands with. There is a 5 gallon fresh drinking water container located in each room and always plenty of bottled water available in the Coco Lounge. All of our toilets work by a salt water pressurized system and we put no paper products in the toilets. Everything goes into the trash bin and housekeeping will take it out daily. Water is our most precious resource on the island and should be used with care. Our water system is also very sensitive and if guests ever have a problem please notify staff or a manager and it will be fixed right away.
Thatch Caye accommodations do include air-conditioning. All of our units also feature both wall and ceiling fans.
All rates and any activity include a service charge. Tipping is customary in Belize and 10-15% is standard. As always, tipping is at your discretion. You can leave a cash tip or tip on your credit card during checkout.
Cellular service is generally available at Thatch Caye Resort, however, the signal can be inconsistent. We recommend speaking with your cellular service provider to set up an international plan so you don’t incur unnecessary charges. We have a house phone that you are welcome to use with the purchase of an international phone card. If you need to be connected, we recommend signing up for Skype and using our internet to call home if required.
