I began my practice of yoga in 2006, after I was involved in a car accident. I found that yoga and meditation were an excellent way to be with pain both physically and emotionally.
It was on a trip to Thailand, the following year, that solidified my interest in yoga for therapeutic healing. In 201, I left the corporate world and moved to Switzerland with my husband and two dogs. I began to pursue my passion. After meeting my first teacher, Stephen Thomas, in Zurich, Switzerland I began to take an in depth look at my practice and accompanied him on a retreat to Bali.
In Bali, I decided to pursue this passion not only for myself, but to share with others. The following November I completed a 200- hour intensive teacher training program at Samahita Retreat Center in Koh Samui, Thailand. I became pregnant in early 2013 and began looking for complementary practices to support the depth of my practice.
I enrolled in an 80 hour prenatal yoga training with Sue Elkind, founder of DIG yoga. The journey through pregnancy and birth brought me close to my practice. I was able to nurture the natural changes occurring in my body. I gained the understanding and wisdom of the intelligence in my body while nourishing my growing baby.
My Yoga Story
My passion for therapeutics in yoga was deeply met when I connected with Tiffany Cruickshank, founder of Yoga Medicine. I completed my 500 hour Advanced Training Certification in 2018. I'm a Yoga Medicine® Registered Therapeutic Specialist, and I am currently enrolled in the Yoga Medicine 1000 hour advanced teacher certification. I assist and teach with Yoga Medicine 500 hour training all over the world.
My passion to evolve as a human and teacher is continuous. I am currently exploring in depth the integration of the subtle body, energetic dynamics, and Yoga Therapeutics. I have been a Vedic Meditator since 2019. This practice of self study and self discipline informs my daily life. I have completed a 300 hr training with Kia Miller, creator of Radiant Body Yog, a 60 hour Yoga Nidra Training with Tracee Stanley and I am currently in training as a Biodynamic Cranial Sacral Therapist. I am excited to integrate the deep healing wisdom of this practice to inform my offerings within the community.
I hold specialties in biomechanics, pre and post natal yoga, Myofascial release and subtle body dynamics. I teach group yoga classes in the Boulder area, pre/post natal yoga, specialized workshops, teacher training, and international retreats. I work with clients one on one in therapeutic yoga and cranial sacral therapy.
